Bakery Style Chocolate Chip Cookies

<ol>

<li>Preheat oven to 375F & line a baking sheet with parchment paper.  Set aside.</li>

<li>In a medium bowl whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, baking powder, & salt.</li>

<li>In a large bowl beat with an electric mixer the unsalted butter, light brown sugar, & granulated sugar until smooth & creamy.</li>

<li>Add the eggs & vanilla to the same bowl oh the butter mixture, & beat on medium speed until blended.  </li>

<li>Add the dry ingredients to the large butter mixture bowl, & beat JUST until mixed, a few flour streaks are fine!</li>

<li>Add the chocolate chips to the batter, & gently fold into the batter with a spatula until mixed.  Do not overmix.</li>

<li>Using a cookie scoop, scoop 2-3 tablespoons sized cookie dough balls & place them spread out on the cookie sheet at least 3 inches apart.  </li>

<li>Bake for 9-12 minutes until edges are set & lightly golden in color.</li>

<li>Leave cookies out on counter to rest 5-10 minutes before serving.</li>
